Saarinen Table and Chairs

Lately I have been obsessing about Euro Saarinen tulip tables and chairs.  These 50 year old designs are classics that still resonate -- the table is especially versatile and gives an instant update to a hoe-hum space. Euro Saarinen was a Finnish American architect and industrial designer of the 20th century famous for varying his style according to the demands of the project: simple, sweeping, arching structural curves or machine-like rationalism.

You can find Tulip tables are on the high end from Knoll and in the mass market by Ikea and other manufacturers.  No matter where you find the table, these look great with a wide array of chairs.  Call me crazy, but I would especially love to see this table with a painted rattan chair...

Via Coco Crazy, kitchen belonging to Carlyn Henry paired the Saarinen table with Bistro chairs.

Here it is with white bentwood cane chairs

Tori Burch had the Tulip Table and chairs in her kitchen with the her custom colored "Arbre de Matisse Reverse" fabric and wallcoverings from Quadrille.
It would look great with these super affordable chairs from Crate and Barrel

Or this chair from Crate and Barrel
